2025-26 Mini Grant

 We are in our second year of offering three to four mini grant opportunities at $250.00 each to any current or renewed member to be used during this 2025-2026 academic school year. We also welcome anyone who wants to join CRA/VCRA as a member who applies for the grant.

Please email a one-page proposal including:
  • Your name, email, school name, home, and school address
  • Describe your proposed project in three to five sentences related to the VCRA mission. (See above).
  • If selected, we will ask for a photo and brief writeup of the event/activity to be listed in a future VCRA newsletter.
 
Suggestions for a mini grant but not limited to:
  • Set of children’s books and/or resources for a unit of study planned for the school year.
  • Supplement the cost of a children’s author or illustrator or guest speaker for the class/school.
  • Specific topic or genre of books to add to your classroom or school library.
  • YA/children’s books or resources (poetry, nonfiction, etc.) for an existing unit of study.
  • Any materials (notebooks, banners, posters, button-maker, etc.) for a new or existing literacy schoolwide event, or activity.
