Outstanding educators lead practical workshops on how to improve your students’ reading and writing skills. These workshops offer perfect opportunities for networking with educators from across the county and for boosting creative energies.
Here’s what’s in store for this school year:
Winter Workshop - Monday, February 6, 2012. 3:30 pm – 7:30 pm.
“The Art of Literacy” is the theme of this year’s VCRA Winter Workshop, fittingly held at The Museum of Ventura County. Information-packed sessions address California Common Core Standards with hands-on opportunities and lots of take-aways.

Young Authors’ Faire - Saturday, April 14, 2012.
10:00 am – 1:00 pm.
Students’ writing is showcased in a non-competitive, celebratory event that includes displays of students’ work, hands-on workshops, and a presentation by an adult who writes books for children. A book give-away and refreshments round out this celebration of authentic writing experiences. Click here for information on this school year’s event.
